Starex International School
complements a strong academic foundation with a rich selection of extra curricular activities designed to enhance a student’s all round development and cultivate varied interests.
Starex’s extra curricular programme includes cultural events, field trips, competitive and non competitive sport activities, dance, drama, quizzes, art, and music.
All students are encouraged to participate in at least one extra
curricular activity each week to ensure that their academic, sporting, and creative interests are balanced and encouraged. We offer a varied programme of activities which changes each term, enabling students to participate in a range of activities throughout the year.

School Events
Parents and other members of the community are invited to witness a
whole host of events showcasing the diverse talents of our students that feature regularly in our school calendar. Events that parents and students look forward to are The Annual Prize Day celebrations, Science, Art and Craft Exhibitions, Sports Day, Elocution contests, Swimming and Tennis tournaments along with a host of Inter House Competitions.
Physical Education
Extending education beyond the confines of the classroom, the school cultivates values of team spirit, discipline and healthy competition through a variety of sports activities.
The school offers a well-balanced programme of sports and physical education. On-campus facilities include an auditorium, basketball courts, a tennis court, a football field and a swimming pool. Our facilities also include a dedicated activity area for students in the Primary School.

Special coaching is offered in a variety of games and sports activities including Horse Riding, Swimming, Tennis, and Golf.
Science Club
Students apply their science learning to design and technology projects that solve existing problems in
school. The emphasis is on projects that reduce time and manpower.
Community Service
Recognizing the need to pay back their debt to society, students are expected to participate in some form of social work. SALD (Students Adult Literacy Drive) and SUPW (Socially Useful and Productive Work) programmes help students develop a sense of service especially towards those less fortunate than themselves.
Journalism & Photography
Students are enabled to acquire basic skills in reporting, interviewing, editing, layout, and photography. Students produce the school newsletter and year book.
Creative Expression Dramatics & Declamation
Students are encouraged to develop their public speaking and histrionic skills through elocution, debates, school plays, and theatre. This training provides them an ideal opportunity and platform to not only discover and showcase their talents, but to instil self confidence and enhance individual character.
Art & Crafts
To bring out creativity, curiosity and the power of imagination of a child, our students participate in a host of arts and crafts projects. Students are encouraged to explore their creative talent through a variety of mediums that includes clay, fabric, sand, paint, paper, and many others.
Music
Music is an integral part of the curriculum where our students have the opportunity to pursue instrumental and vocal music. Specialised training is provided.
Student Council
Students run the student council which is the mainspring of school leadership. The council discusses and deliberates on a host of issues related to school life and seek avenues to channelize their leadership potential in constructive ways.
Food Council
Students, together with the hostel wardens and resident teachers, develop a meal plan for the students, keeping nutrition and hygiene in mind as per the direction of the nutritionist. The Food Council also arranges for students to help serve at meal time.
