At Starex we believe....
...all students have the ability to learn and should receive equal yet diverse learning experiences.
...students benefit from a positive sense of self-worth.
...students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process.
...students should acquire skills to work cooperatively and learn to take responsibility for their actions.
...students need to value life-long learning.
…students can teach us as much if not more than what we can teach them.
The school organized an educational trip for the students immediately after the examinations to brighten their spirits as they all had gone very dull just preparing for the exams and doing nothing else. The trip was to Agra, city of marvelous monuments, standing in pride portraying the rich heritage of India.
The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Akbar’s Tomb are the monuments which engrave themselves on the beholder’s mind forever. While touring through Agra our students felt as if they traveled back in time into the pages of history. This city of ancient beauty and art is also in complete sync with modernization and the urban world as the students even visited huge malls. The trip was a wonderful amalgamation of education and enjoyment.

SUMMER CAMP
The first term of the current academic is ending on 17 May and the students are looking forward to their summer vacation. This term has been a time of frenetic academic activity and now is the time for all our students to let their hair down and prove their worth in other fields.
In order to enhance, promote and channelise the creative energies of our students, we have organized a Summer Camp for them from Monday, 12 to Saturday, 17 May. We are offering a host of activities in this camp and the students will be free to choose those which excite their imagination.
Some of the activities we are planning are dancing, theatre, public speaking, movie-making on computers, personality development, story-telling, science and maths activities, training in library science, art & craft and sports & games. In craft, the students will be taught coffee painting, colour etching on glass, painting with glass colours on canvas, etc. We have invited a potter who will set up a potter’s wheel. The students will learn pottery making on the potter’s wheel. These activities will not only diversify their interests but also arouse their curiosity to explore new areas they can tread. They will discover their strengths and gain self-confidence.
Those students who opt for craft will be expected to pay Rs.250/- for the kit comprising all the material needed for this activity. At the end of the camp, the students will take home the craft items they will prepare during the week and also the left over material.
Since this camp will go a long way in the holistic development of our students, we want each and every student to be present on all the six days. I seek your cooperation in making this Camp a success and hope your child will derive long term benefits from it.
During this week, regular classes will be held for the students of Grades X and XII.
